The purpose of this web site is to provide an access to art and culture of the Suvarnabhumi (Thailand, Laos state, Cambodia and Burma). Suvarnabhumi, known as "Golden Land" which means a land rich with cultural heritage and natural attractions. The kingdom of Suvarnabhumi extended from southern Burma, across the central plain of what is now Thailand to eastern Cambodia. The site is for education or non-commercial personel purposes. We are proud to present the charming & fascinating of Suvarnabhumi Arts & Spirit of Thai, Laos, Burma and Cambodia. Especially the Buddha images in a variety of styles and era around the 8th century up to modern time (Mon-Dvaravati & Hariphunjaya, Srivijaya, Chiangsaen & Lannathai, Sukhothai, Lopburi, U Thong, Ayuttaya and Ratanakosin, also include Lanchang (Laos), Burmese and Khmer (Cambodia). Together with variety of art objects, Gold & Silver, Lacquerware, Celadon & other ancient Thai pottery, Ivory, Mural Painting as well as Mother of Pearl in lay, Brass & Bronze and Thai silk. เว็บไซด์แห่งนี้จัดทำขึ้นมา        โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเผยแพร่ความรู้ทางศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมแห่งดินแดนซึ่งถูกขนานนามว่า " สุวรรณภูมิ" มีอาณาบริเวณในอดีตคลอบคลุมไทย ลาว พม่าและกัมพูชา โดยได้รวบรวมข้อมูลทางด้านพุทธศิลป์ของ พระพุทธรูปในยุคสมัยต่าง ๆ ตั้งแต่พุทธศตวรรษที่ ๑๓ จวบจนปัจจุบัน อันประกอบด้วยหมวดใหญ่ทั้งแปด คือ มอญ ทวารวดี-หริภุญไชย ศรีวิชัย เชียงแสน-ล้านนา ไทย สุโขทัย ลพบุรี อู่ทอง อยุธยาและรัตนโกสินทร์ รวมถึงพระพุทธรูปแห่ง อาณาจักรล้านช้าง (ลาว) พม่าและเขมร นอกจากนี้ได้รวบรวมศิลปะโบราณวัตถุต่าง ๆ เช่นเครื่องทอง เครื่องเงิน เครื่องถม สังคโลกและเครื่องปั้นของไทยยุคต่าง ๆ เครื่องเขิน จิตรกรรมฝาผนัง เครื่องไม้และงาช้างจำหลักไปจน ถึงเครื่องมุก งานสำริด และทองเหลืองโบราณ ผ้าไหมและผ้าฝ้ายไทย เพื่อเป็นแหล่งข้อมูลสนับสนุนการค้นคว้าทางด้านศิลปะวัฒนธรรม เผยแพร่ ความรู้ทางวิชาการแก่ผู้สนใจและเพื่อสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทยได้จัดทำข้อมูลสรุปเกี่ยวกับโบราณสถาน แหล่งท่องเที่ยวและวัฒนธรรมของคนไทยไว้ในเว็บห้องสมุด นอกจากนี้ยังให้ความร่วมมือและประชาสัมพันธ์งานทางศิลปะวัฒนธรรม ให้กับบุคคลและองค์กรทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
